I’m putting my name on this one. It’s a family recipe that my husband and I put together. It’s great with a bit of brown rice and a veggie. This time I made it with a side of my easy mashed potatoes and some asparagus. It’s a quick protein for a busy night or meal prep. It’s low sodium, but packed with flavor and nutrition.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 lb. shrimp – cleaned and deveined
Flavorgod Himalayan Salt and Pink Pepper (to taste)
Flavorgod Everything Seasoning (few shakes)
1/2 TBSP Red Chili Powder
1/2 TBSP Cumin Coriander Powder
1 tsp turmeric
2 pinches cumin seeds (optional)
In a bowl mix the shrimp and all the seasonings until the shrimp is adequately coated. Heat up a pan to med heat with some olive oil. Place shrimp in pan, not too crowded so it doesn’t steam up. The shrimp will start to sizzle as the water is released so becareful.
Shrimp cooks pretty fast so keep an eye on it. Once the shrimp has turned opaque and pink half way, flip the shrimps to cook the other side. It will be roughly 5 minutes on each side depending on the size of the shrimp. You should have a nice crispy coating on the shrimp from the seasoning.
Serve it up with your favorite sides. I have a few recipes coming for you!
